Danine is passionate about supporting people living with dementia, with non-pharmacological, psychosocial intervention, to improve their quality of life and affirm their sense of self.
Danine founded Live Well (dementia companionship) having been running cookery and food workshops across residential care homes, community centres, alternative provisions and schools for over ten years.
With a thirst for learning, Danine gained a Masters with distinction in Dementia Studies at the University of Hull in 2021 and has more than a decade of experience working with healthcare professionals and supporting people living with dementia in various settings.
Danine previously appeared on MasterChef and is a qualified nutritionist. Danine's early career was in finance and then later, whilst raising her family she trained to be a parent educator supporting new parents with baby massage, breast feeding and weaning guidance.

The support promotes active participation, enhancing self-esteem and wellbeing, thus improving quality of life for people living with dementia. Sessions are carefully created for each person individually.
We consider goals and measure outcomes, adjusting interventions where necessary and use best practice tools such as the PAL Instrument.

Our companions are DBS checked and are up to date with training in safeguarding adults and dementia. We are insured. We cover NW and Central London and South Hertfordshire.
